Design trends spotted at the Spring 2015 High Point Market

We recently returned from the Spring 2015 High Point Market in North Carolina, which is the largest home furnishings industry trade show in the world. In recent years, High Point has named a number of Style Spotters who take note of the latest design trends. Some of the new ones spotted at the 2015 spring market:

Gilded Age — Gold, brushed brass, gold leaf and other gold finishes are being used on signature pieces and as accents. And some metals, mainly gold, are also being combined with exotic woods.

Classic Renewal — This design trend is all about using classic forms in modern ways. Strong, sculptural table bases, for instance, are being used along with classic chairs.

Organically Crafted — Organic shapes and materials are showing up in a variety of furnishings and decor, from lamps to armoires and more.
